What are some good guitar amplifiers... I'm budgeting up to $700 canadian but my parents are chipping in as i need it...

so what are good combo amplifiers?

a roland cube of some sort, or vox!

What you need it for? Just home practise yeah? Do you see yourself in a band down the line?

Well... I already have a practise amp - Peavey Backstage ... not that great but i practise in my room with it... And yeah I see myself in a band in the long run...
and I play metal/ hardrock like sonata arctica, stratovarius, etc
of course I'm still not that good but it'd be nice to have a lot of power so I can experiment with stuff

in the 5 months or so that i had been GASing for an amp, i had come across about a half dozen 5150 combos for $550 or under (and only through craigslist too). not sure what the situation is like in canada though...
