i was in an audio video class and we made student movies, some of them are funny and i would like to put them on youtube. the teacher gave us a dvd of all our vids at the end of the year and i can't rip them onto the computer (i'm stupid when it comes to this stuff) so i was wondering if any of u tech savvy gents will advise me.

btw, its all on one chapter.....dunno if that means anything...

You need a DVD drive in your computer. Look up software that will convert DVD files into other files. I use a program called Xillsoft that converts DVD format videos to MP4 (iPod/PSP/etc.) format and saves it to your computer. It cost money, so you can try torrenting it or looking for a similar + free one.

There is a program called Handbrake that will do what you need.

It worked well on my Mac. Haven't tried it on windows, but they have a windows version of it. Good luck, hope this is what you need.
