So my teacher is showing me maj and min 7th chords to learn for next week and I'm practicing and I come to this and realize that he either screwed up or my hands are just incapable of doing it, so hopefully you guys can help? How do I do this (if it's right)?

i know it sounds obvious, but just practice stretching your fingers to it. It's all it basically is, hurts like hell to start with but you'll get used to it

they're min 7th chords, of course they're not . it's fun though when you can do them and nobody else can, you feel special

Yes, it's right in the sense that it's a G#Δ chord. If you can't manage to finger that, a more common voicing would be..
