I just got a Boss RC-2 loop station. What songs have parts that repeat through the entire song. I would like to build up a song on the fly, but some songs change up too much. I'm thinking songs with the same chord progression during the verses and chorus would work well. Do any songs come to mind?

LoG, they repeat every riff 3298570129801 times.
Just play it once, and make it loop non stop.
When you move on to next riff, do that again
then repeat riff 1 again.

no i'm kidding. Do what others say, make your own chord progression and jam over it.

Seven Nation Army does I think. If you can be bothered.

To be honest, I'd do the 12 bar blues thing. That'd be like heaven

Thanks. These are good suggestions. Oh, and I completely intend to just make up chord progressions and solos. Thats mostly why I got it.

I bet Undone (the sweater song) by Weezer would be a good one.

Any others?

How about Enter Sandman? It's only got, like, 2 or 3 riffs.

On the RC-2, you can save a number of loops, then using the middle knob, change which loop is played. Or with the Boss FS-6 footswitch, you can actually change loops at the stomp of a switch.

I saw a good video of a guy who started with a simple chord progression, added some lead bits one by one, then started doing some tappin on the body of the guitar and small little things like that until he got a really cool little 2 second thing that played over and over. He then took off the guitar and started claping along with the music. It was pretty cool

Record a rythym part, loop it, and play a solo over top of it.

i saw a video of les paul doing that. he recorded a little riff, then put some chords under it, then a bassline, then he hit the guitar to make a drum beat thing. then while it all played he did a solo over it

High by Feeder is a good one, it turns out. Same thing the whole song, expect the chorus has extra distortion parts.
