I just found out that my friend got his 5105 + cab for $1000AUD
now the cheapest 5105 ive ever seen on ebay is about 1600

he got his with a cab for under that! yet i cant find any good bargains!!

Sorry i'm just quite annoyed at this seeing as i'm looking for a new amp and nothing is cheap in Australia.

Has anyone ever got one of these huge bargains off ebay? what was it? how much??

I've never gotten anything exceptionally cheap, but it's definitely useful to get stuff you can't find locally. I couldn't find the schecter bass that I wanted locally for a decent price (either they didn't sell them, or they were over $1000 CAD o.O). With taxes, shipping and currency conversions, I picked up my elite 5 for about $650 CAD on eBay. Would be even better now with the good Canadian dollar.

As an Australian, I too find it impossible to find music related stuff for cheap, But I have gotten one thing for really cheap (I got really lucky)
My beautiful Washburn WG-587, usually about $1000 AUD but I got it for $260

I'm going against my Communist beliefs in saying that eBay kicks ass. You can find all sorts of cool shit on there.

I think he meant look harder on Ebay.

Speaking of which; I just got a near mint condition bass drum pedal that retails for 150. I paid 56 plus shipping (10 bucks or something).

I don't know if this counts but I got a cool KISS shirt for a buck? I used to do a lot of buying stuff on eBay, but the key is to constantly watch the listings. The ones with things spelled wrong and with gallery pictures usually go for a lot less.

I got Pink Floyd - Animals on vinyl for £6 inc. postage.

I love eBay.

never got any huge bargains, since i dont really buy very expensive items. usually just books, movies, and cds. not much else.

honestly, ebay isnt as good as it used to be.

things are getting more and more expensive for the most part, and people charge insane shipping fees now.

I like eBay, but i'm always suspicious of the things selling for $.01, is it a scam, or broken? But I really want to buy it cuz thats a great deal.

Nah, ebay is great.

Cheap cheap deals. Not too great if you wanna profit as a one off seller but it's convenient.

Cd's and Dvd's are dirt cheap. I have won loads of great stuff for 99p!

I got one of those First Act VW guitars for $80 and I think it was a steal. That guitar is easily in the $300-$400 quality range. It's not perfect but is quite enjoyable to play and going through my Orange Tiny Terror it sounds fabulous!
Seriously, I'm in the band.
