If you pick your top 3 guitarists that inspire you the most, who would they be? I would have to pick Angus Young (because he was the person who wanted me to start playing in the first place), Eddie Van Halen, and Tom Morello.

My band
Hmm, I don't think I have specific influences, but for me - anytime I see any musician that's truly passionate and truly skilled at what they do, it makes me want to practice in my room for hours.
we know a place no spaceships go
Akira Takasaki (damn his amazingness...), Mana (ex- Malice Mizer), My friend Zacc from my guitar class (he was a Hendrix style player with a crap load of influences. crazy good for 2 year player)

I was not expecting him to have a ferret skilled in nuclear weaponry
Dimebag Darrell, James Hetfield, and John Fruciante (sp?)
Tom Morello (reason I started playing)
John Frusciante and,

Yeah, pretty much. Other musicians that influenced though?
Keith Moon, John Bonham, Jon Paul Jones and Tchaicovsky
1- Michael Amott
2- Marty Friedman
3- Zakk Wylde

Amott is a god .. pure expression
Omar Rodriguez Lopez, because he brings out ambience and energy out of a guitar so naturally.

Slash, because his Appetite for Destruction solos were.....classy.

And Angus Young, his simple style, and ability to create riffs is something I envy.
John Petrucci, Dave Mustaine, and Alexi Laiho

Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult is my primary influence. I borrow lots of his soloing quirks and techniques and such, and I study his technique religiously.

That aside probably Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Criss Oliva of Savatage. Very unpopular players, unfortunately, but they all rock.
