You are correct...however, it DOES mean you will have colonol cancer.
a ninth chord is a chord lets take C7 the fornula is 1-3-5-7 (C-E-G-B) B IS THE 7TH then u stack a nitnth on it which is a D
What? Could you please explain what you want to know?

|-5-|

``````
what i want to know is what a bar chord of C9 and D9 or just any 9th bar chord looks like
edit:
would C9 be
10
8
9
8
10
8
Oh right, you worded your question a bit awkwardly (I think)
Anyway. 9th chords.
All of these shapes are movable
Yup, that's a C9,
1 3 5 b7 9
C E G Bb D
As long as it contains those notes it's a C9
the C7 chord is 1-3-5-b7 though isnt it?? C dominant 7th???
if you mean CMaj7 then yes... you were right!!
pedantic, but i think you had the nomenclature slightly wrong
