Lyrics
If you read that chapter then look and the beast and the harlot lyrics, I think you'll find much of the same thing. I cant believe I've never noticed this before. I'm pretty sure I've read all of revelations. But now I want to read it again.

Avenged Sevenfold is actually referencing Cain's outcasting in Genesis. He's afraid that, while out in the desert, he will be attacked and killed, so God issues a decree that anyone who attacks Cain will be avenged sevenfold.

yes.

i thought they said interviews that they got this stuff from the bible?

If you want to get even deeper, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet (their original EP) comes from the Bible, City of Evil (which actually has another un-Biblical meaning) refers to Biblical Babylon, Waking the Fallen could refer to Ezekiel raising the dead. They steal a lot of stuff from El Biblio (The Bible)

Well I'm glad it hurt your feelings cause you hurt mine. Like I ever would care to watch a video about these guys. They have like 1 song I like, and the guitarist is so sloppy it makes them hard for me to listen to. I was just on bible gateway and saw the chorus, and it just caught my interest.

It's a common practice to write songs about books. I wrote one about the end of 1984 that was very well-received here.

Really? Could you give me the link to your song then?

I've written a few myself, one about Brave New World, Fight Club, and a few others.

i never said that i watched a video on them so i'm not sure where you got that idea from but ok...i'm not exactly "familiar" with the bible and i recognized the bible reference the second i saw the title of the song

just like how
"Who wants flowers when youre dead? nobody."
thats a title from Bring me the horizon
and that line is from the catcher and the rye.

I thought it was quite obvious.

Maybe i just have an advantage at noticing stuff like that, coming from a christian background. Chances are though, when you notice some thing nifty about a song, someone else has seen it waaaay before you.

The book is called Revelation, not Revelations. I can't believe no one mentioned that.

I'll try to find it.

Here it is: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=485656

I never wrote any music for it, though.

It's all about Revelations. Is this actually news to people?
"That Hidde's a cool guy" -Abe Lincoln
"Hidde? Yeah we jam all the time" -Steve Vai
"Remember that time when burt jumped out of the tree and into the river? Good times!" -Jesus

So I heard you liek profiles?
