The *only* solo I've ever learned is the one from Blue Oyster Cult's Burnin' For You, the beginning one after the intro. I'd rather try to build my improv skills and such and just practice hammers and build finger speed until I'm ready to start soloing, instead of just learning somebody else's. To me solos are truly an individual expression of the player, and right now mine are pretty mechanical. Playing somebody else's isn't going to make me any less so.

Paranoid is pretty easy, if you can play NIB you can play it.


edit:also, the solo to Goodbye to romance isn't bad or you lookin at me lookin at you if you like randy rhoads. also midnight by satriani isn't bad to try, if you can tap, it will look very very hard, but it really isn't as bad as it seems.
