I'm looking at two guitars, a Fender MIM Strat and a PRS SE Tremonti. I'm interested in playing hard rock, classic rock, and some metal. I like having good clean tones, warm, but not muddy.

The Strat is $400, but I would spend another $200 loading it with Seymour Duncan's (JB Jr., Duckbucker, and a stacked '59).

The Tremonti on the other hand is $500, but comes with great stock pickups.

(There is a potential 3rd choice, the PRS SE Singlecut/Custom, which is $600)

get the tremonti. the singlecut is undeniably prettier, though.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

Yeah the Tremonti looks insanely plain. What makes it better though?

actually, nevermind. i was looking at the regular tremonti, not the SE. get the singlecut. they're basically the same.
