Okay, about 2 years back, my uncle made me a mix CD of songs he thought would be cool if I learned.

And, I'm pretty sure it was Grand Funk. But I can't be certain.

But, all I remember was the song was acoustic mostly, until the solo, which was electric.

The only lyrics I remember are from the chorus, and I think it said, "You don't have to shoot your brother down."

Like I said, it MIGHT be Grand Funk, I just can't remember.

My uncle couldn't even tell you the name of the song. It took him hours to find on Napster, and when he did, he told me the name, but I forgot. I wound up losing the CD, and can hardly remember the words. All I know is I was inspired by this song. It was just so....powerful. I loved it, and I would really love to hear it again.

I've Googled, I've Wiki'd, and the only song I thought it could be was "Sin's a Good Man's Brother", but that wasn't it. Like I said, I don't eve know the name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did. Nothin worked.

I'm just really on about hiw it's Grand Funk.

And the song line might be a tad off. All I know is it's acoustic, I THINK if shifts to electric for the solo, and he talks about his brother or something.

And I know it's an older song, like 70s, because of the production quality. That, and my uncle doesn't listen to newer music of almost any kind.

Could you be thinking of a song by Grand Funk Railroad?
