whats the difference between stereo and mono outputs? whats this mean for a chorus pedal? (specifically boss CE-5 and CH-1)

a stereo output makes a deeper chorus sound. if you happen to have a stereo guitar head (such as the Crate Powerblock, which is the least expensive one i can think of, most crates have this), then you can output it to two speakers/amps/cabs on either side of the room, and when you mash on the chorus, it'll really sound uber.

Real stereo choruses have one output that sends out a completely dry signal, then one output which gives you the delayed signal. You send them to two separate amps, the signals mix in the air, and you get a deeper, more real chorus sound.
