Ive been using DR 10-52 hybrid dimebag custom gauge. Im thinking about using something else. The ernie ball 10-52 are cheaper but i used ernie ball when i was younger and didnt like them but for 3 bucks its tempting lol. Whats everyone use?

why are metal musicians prone to fatness?
Cause there music is heavy.

You've never heard of DR strings? Dr strings were the type dimebag used... many players use them. Guitar center carries them. Very popular strings. Most big metal bands use them. They are really bright sounding strings and stay that way for a long time. Although they are a bit more expensive than ernie ball. They are handmade.

I normally use Ernie Ball Top Heavy Slinkys (10-56, I think) but I'm gonna try some D'addarios 9's with my strat copy. I don't know what I'm gonna use on my 7 string as I still have the stock strings on. I usually like Light strings for D-high E strings and Heavy strings for A, Low E, and if it goes lower.
O and Martin 10's for my acoustic.

The only strings I've used are D'Addario 10's, so I can't say really. But they are good. But I really want to try some EB Super Slinkys, cuz everyone keeps raving about them.

Used GHS boomers for a while, found it real hard on the fingers. Then switched to Ernie Ball, has that nice smooth feel to it. Now using Curt Mangan (ex employee of EB). Feels exactly the same as EB strings, but lasts longer and priced cheaper. Using .11 on all my E standard guitars, and a .13 on my c standard.
Peavey 5150, LTD EX400BD, tubescreamer, and a whole lotta fingers
