So I'm looking for a new amp. I'd prefer a 30-50 watt tube combo and I'd like it to be under 700 USD. I'm looking mainly at a Fender Hot Rod or a Peavey Valveking. I play fairly straight up rock with sometimes hard overdrive and sometimes clean, so versatility would be nice. Anyway, I'd like some suggestions or advice and I'll answer any questions you might have. Oh and by the way I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Fender Telecaster Aerodyne Series.

Thanks

Fender amps are good to great. I have the Peavey Valveking 112 combo and I love it. I play Hendrix, Allman Bros., Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, etc. (not as good as they do!) The Fender is probably just as loud but I like the distortion and the features of the VK. Try them both.
