OK so im looking to buy a guitar and i want one that really fits my style of playing which is a sort of mix of jazzy blues phrases with clean shreddy runs and really percussive rhythm playing. What im really looking for is a guitar that plays exactly like an electric guitar in terms of action/fret width but has the hard, percussive sound of an acoustic guitar.

I've never tried a hollow bodied electric guitar and i was wondering will this give me the sort of feel and sound im looking for? Do you have any other suggestions for types of guitar?

Thanks alot.
