A while back I put a dimario x2n in my jackson and it did not sound good, so i took it out and put it in my epi. lp jr and it sounded amazing. So i started looking for an explanation for why it did not sound good in my jackson. I thaught maybe bad wiring, changed capasitor, then i noticed the space between the bridge pickup and the neck was shorter than on my other guitars, so i am wondering if that was the problem, please help.

I moved to the right hight, the instructions say you have gone to high when you hear a wavering sound

Alder is a trebly wood, and the X2N is Dimarzio's trebliest pickup (I think), so the combination would end up being very, very extreme treble, probably.

Ok I think we're all good now. We're on the same page, and I'm back to trying to get with his sister.

X2n is quite balanced it is 6.5t, 6.5m and 5.5b it has less treble then the jb.

The Pickups are closer together because i pressume the jackson has 24 frets wheras the epi LP has 22.

I maybe wrong, pretty sure im right though on that issue.

Maybe the pickup sounded better in the les paul because it was a thicker more solid body?
