All right so im changing the pickups in my gibson and there is an extra wire from the switch. Normally there should be 4 wires coming from a gibson 3 way switch but there are 5. When i took the everything apart it was soldered to the bridge volume pot and then there were wires going to all the other pots.

What should i do with this wire? should i solder it back o the bridge volume pot?

Id just put it back to where it was, if it worked fine that way just leave it.

thats what i think i should do but ive run into a problem in doint that. see in the wiring diagram im using the wire opposite of the 3 on the switch is supposed to do what this wire did.

Sorry for the double post, but i came to the conclusion that it was just a ground so i grounded it and everything works
