I'm trying to help a friend out and I'm pretty computer savvy myself but I've never heard of this situation. What he has done is zip a file and put it on his ipod. He did NOT password protect the zipped folder. He reinstalled windows XP and plugged his ipod back in to the computer to get his files back and when he transfered the zip file back to his computer, it now has a password on it. Is there any explanation to this. I mean, I know how to get past the password, that's easy, I'm just curious at what point was a password applied to the zip file and is it the iPod's doing or did XP do it?
