I saw on the website of a dutch guitar parts dealer a guitar nut made of very exclusive "fossil mammoth ivory" or that is what they want us to believe (http://www.tonefactory.nl/shop2/product_info.php?cPath=28_66&products_id=1453 ). For sale for €17,25.
I've never heard of this before. Is this true? I seriously doubt it but I really want to know.

It's a good all round shop but this seems to be... nonsens...

It does get used from time to time. It's very expensive and not worth it in the nut but very nice for the saddle of an acoustic.
Not taking any online orders.
