Yeh so was just wondering what sought of exercises or warm ups would be good to help playing metal music, i do the usual alternate picking exercises etc but don't know if there are any others i could do to help with my playing. thanks

Try power chords and palm muting, when you get good at that go for some sweeps.

just plat a few riffs man, its a warm up not anything rigid. just play a few riffs and lead licks then get goin.

I just do scales w/ alt. picking (but 1st I tune my guitar ^^)
