Ok, so I'm doing up my guitar with EMGs a locking nut and a Schaller 1456.

I've been told floyd nuts take a lot of modding, but can't I just screw it into the headstock a little bit above my real nut?

It'll look a little ugly, but surely it would still get the job done?

It's just that after-nut locks cost about £10 more and I'm.. Well, lets put it this way.. Poor...

I think a Kahler nut could be screwed behind the original nut and the Floyd you would have to do some routing

I even tried dressing up as a fly myself, and throwing myself out of the window in the hope that they will follow me. But to no avail.

Nah this is just the nut.. Just screws onto the headstock.. Well.. It depends how tall it is... I don't like mega-high action...
