http://cgi.ebay.com/gibson-les-paul-studio-2006-alpine-white-flawless_W0QQitemZ290136559351QQihZ019QQcategoryZ38086QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i found this on ebay and i was looking to see if it was
first, a genuine gibson (which it appears to be)
second, if it was worth it?

I can bid on it up to just about a grand
(it may go more may go less)

but would it be worth it to try for the price it's at if it is about 1270 new after tax?

depends, is it the guitar you really want??

i was looking at les paul studios and i liked them

i also like explorers but i think the les paul will suit my style more so i was looking to buy a lp studio
but the new ones were just out of my price range

this just a suggestion, but in my opinion Epiphone Elitists are waaaay better than studios. When i tred a studio it sounded meh and it was horrible to play, even my normal epiphone sounds and played better, and elitists are about the same price as a studio

i second rocketboy...

elitists have everything and more than studios, minus the brand name on the headstock...

and the thing is studios are hit or miss...sure you can get a good one, but you'd be taking a gamble...

the only way i'd buy it is if i could get it for a price i knew I could resell it...

i tried an elitist and it was good but they are similar in price and the gibson ages better than epiphones due to the nitrocellulose finish and truthfully, I'd rather get a gibson

well if you want to buy the name.. do it, but make sure you can resell it, as studios are hit or miss....

I buy and sell on ebay...Ive actually sold a guitar on ebay...reading his feedback it looks like its a legit auction however that Family emergency in the auction is a Red Flag for me...Ive seen that before and im not sure I trust it.

even though it all looks good im not sure I would bid just for the fact that you wouldnt have any type of warranty or anything...how much more would it be to buy brand new...if its only like $200 or $400 I would buy it new instead however thats just me...ebay can be brutal sometimes and its really risky.

how bad and what are the
"misses"

nvmnd
i chose not to bid
when i overlooked the pictures the i in gibson appeared to have a smaller dot spaced away from the g and the gibsons i have used had a dot that touched the g

oh well
