The body doesn't really look close to a Les Paul. It looks way too undersized. It's closer to an ESP LTD EC-200

looks cool but it wouldnt sound good because its not made of wood. guitars are made of wood for a reason. thats why theres different types of wood on a guitar that can make it more valuable.

ACRYLIC DOES NOT SOUND THAT BAD!

But I heard one with active pickups and you know how those can be.

Actually I don't.

Acrylic sustains better than wood (its solid, non porous) but it isn't as warm and resonant.

Sorry, by that statement I meant with actives you hear the pickups much more thatn the wood where as with passives you hear a bunch of the wood.

Sorry.

Sorry.

depends on which actives.

EMG's are fairly transparent pickups. they're obviously voiced a bit bright, but yeah they don't color your tone near as much as any passive pick up.

the SD live wire ones are a lot less transparent though, about as much as a regular passive pick up.

The Dan Armstrong model is highly-acclaimed, so I don't see why this acrylic guitar wouldn't be.

My uncle buys random crap off ebay all the time, and he bought that exact same guitar. He brought it to my house to show me and we played I played it through my AD100VTH and it didn't sound too bad. It sounded... crunchy I guess would be the word. Not really smooth, obviously a wood guitar would sound better. But it actually wasn't too bad. The pickups didn't sound like SD's though...
Possessed? Of course I am.

The ONLY way you could ever convince anyone with basic knowledge of guitars to buy that, would be to throw in some EMG's and other active pickups. (Probably been said before, but) With active pickups, they sound nearly the same on any guitar... whereas passive change from wood to wood.

like i said before, EMG's are more transparent than passive pickups. the SD live wire ones, on the other hand, are not.
