ok i need some good scales to use for soloing

i have tried pentatonic and diatonic scales.

any suggestions?

minor pentatonic is by far the most common in metal and hard rock in general, so maybe it's not the scale you're using but another aspect of your playing

Learn solos by your favorite guitarists and incorporate their licks and patterns into your playing.

And the scale doesn't make the solo. Hundreds of guitarists have used the pentatonic scale, that doesn't mean they all sound exactly alike. It's all in the phrasing, dynamics, basically the composing.
