Really one for the experts this one.
I went into my LGS today, looking for an amp for under £200GBP (~$400US).. I asked the guy, and he pointed my to a beast!.

its a combo, second hand, from the '70s and the brand is HH. Any info on the brand? I googled it and got nowt relevant.
It sounds bloody brilliant!
Thanks.

What kind of H&H is it?
Tube or Solid State, cause there's tube versions kicking around as my lecturer at college used to have one, and it was amazing.
Solid State ones I haven't played.

They are nice tube amps and well worth the price, you can find a few on eBay to.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

There's an old SS H&H in a shop in my town - is it one of the ones with green lighting over the panel?

Those aren't it, it has 3 inputs one for "sustain"(70's style distortion) one for compressor, and one for both, ofcourse you can turn the sustain or compression all the way down for clean.

Not the one that this concerns, but some of the others in the shop are.

It sounds sooooooo good, you can get ANY '70s/'60s sound out of it (well, apart from the beatle-chorus sound)

Wow. Great find man! Despite what people say there are always good SS amps to be had. How loud does it get? Good for gigging volumes I hope. Gotta love vintage amps!

Excellent, looking forward to pictures

There was a 4x12 H&H cab at the studio I recorded at, my bassist used it. Got chatting to the guy and he'd bought the cab for £5 at a carboot sale hahaha.
