Ive been playin for almost a year now, but i feel like that latley ive been barley improving. I mainly play lots of sublime and 311 songs and they are very fun, but i dont feel like they are really getting me anywhere. I already know freewill and most of yyz so please no rush(i hate listening to rush)but could yall reccomend me some more difficult songs to play. Also i know lots of RHCP, and I have a 5 string and im open for anything except really metal, and country.

edit: also maybe some easier tapping stuff, i just recently started tapping.

Play genres you dislike if they have admirable instrumentalism, it will help you become a beter musician by learning techniques.
Basicly dont put down a genre until you can play it.

I think white people are better than black people.
While this statement is kinda racist and straightforward, it does have many FACTS to back it up lolz.

Is that a real song or are you talking about a mixolydian scale played over 2 octaves or something having something to do with the thirds? Maybe if you elaborae more ill understand better.

For long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race toward an early grave.

If you think the stuff you are playing now is fun, just add in a few little fills and riffs that match the style and key, improves your improvising

But on the other hand, some Guns N Roses is pretty good... R.A.T.M/Audioslave
Ibanez SR505
Yamaha RBX 270
Epiphone G400
Ashdown MAG C410T
VOX AD100VT
Digitech BP200

Maybe.. Compose?
Its quite obvious in my opinion.

You could always challenge yourself by learning more theory and applying it to songs you know and to make your own songs.
