being that you have to sift through so much crap on the internet for music theory, i was thinking about just getting a book. What would be a good book for teaching myself music theory. And does anyone know a good site/book for scales and ****? Thanks

Can you get that off the net?

If you mean me, then yeah. I costs a bit, but well worth it. I got it of amazon for about £35
