Why thankfully? Don't like the accent? I need to learn it soon, going off to the Philippines for about a month soon and I know jack shit of tagalog.

pasalubong ko=my present

"Wah" is not a Tagalog word.

yeah, pretty much. i rather like saying "fourty-five" as opposed to "pourty-pibe" and that was one of the reasons my parents really didn't want to teach me or my sisters, that it might make us less competent in English and pigeonhole us with only Filipinos.

Haha, that's understandable.

My present wah(the whine thing)

or

My wah present(the pedal)

I don't want the 2nd option.

I don't mind, since I grew up there. Although it's really hot there and there are a lot of people walking on the streets day or night. ih8u2, are you going to Manila? If so, try going to Eastwood City, Libis. Great place.

Speak in English FFS.

They're talking about who's circumcised and Americans.

English is a main language of the Philippines. Their education system is even done in English. I wouldn't worry about it.

It kinda became like a necessity especially when you're at 5th Grade and higher, you'd be a laughing stock if you're not circumcised. Yes, teenage guys there bother to look at you when you're at the washroom doing your thing.

One of the main languages. Even if they speak Bisaya or Ilocano, they still speak Tagalog. Heck, we don't talk to each other in English during English class(even though we're supposed to).

or TAGLISH? It's irritating....... Especially when it's used in local movies, for "humor" I don't find it funny though, it's stupid.

Yeah, I'm going to Manila. I'm actually going to try to visit most of the provinces and islands, and I know the 'dirty' parts that Pvz is referring too (I've been there before, only for two weeks though). Thanks for the recommendation of Eastwood City, I'll be sure to check it out.

Sino tatai mo?

Ok, so I can't really spell it very well... Parent's never really taught me as they thought it would be easier for me to intigrate with the other kids (1st born in States).

I can pretty much understand it for the most part when it's being spoken to me though.

I should know this stuff, but I was too lazy to learn and my parents never taught me. Does anyone have relatives that mix up genders alot? Like, do you have an aunt or uncle that says "he" when it should be "she" or vice-versa?
