Well, I'm leaving for my first gig in a 30 mins. It's not really a gig, it's more of an informal perfmormance, since my bass lessons are coming to and end this term. I'm playing Good Times Bad Times, and Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin . But I have one question before I go; I got the playing down pat for both and I'm not nervous, but how do I get JPJ's tone? Just rough settings would do, i can figure the rest out myself.

Thanks a lot UG

Set yourself up with a tone that you feel comfortable with, it's always good to add a personal twist to a cover.

haha yeah that song has a whole lot of bass sexy in it, and of you nail that first little solo/break thing youll feel really awesome.... until you get to the freakin amazing guitar solo(which is by far by favorite zeppelin solo), that totally overshadows the rest of the perfomance.
I got bored of my old sig

yeah, as long as you have fun, and possibly girls, it doesn't matter if you sound like JPJ or not.
