My cousin's b-day is coming up, and im either going to get him a fender standard strat or a schecter gryphon. idk which, or if i should make any changes to any of them. he says he plays punk, rock and a little metal. help me!

i'd say just go and test em out. By the price range, im guessing you're buying him a mexican strat, so just do a little head-to-head. personally i'd probably just take the strat, but also, for being in such a low price range, just find one that feels good :shrugs:

idk, he already has a squier strat, so i would think he wants something new... and im gonna try anything before i buy it.

well if he already has a squier, then the gryphon would give him more variety. And the humbuckers on the gryphon would be better for the punk and/or metal he plays i guess.

Emo is to music as etch-a-sketch is to art.

Music can't really be judged, since it's all on the same level. Unless it's screamo. then it sucks.

Guess I will sell my hellraiser and custom and get the mighty gryphon. I'm kidding you might be right I have never played a gryphon passed it up and picked the hellraiser. But my fenders sounds pretty sweet just not as good as the schecters but they cost more than the fenders also.
