Alright. Some time ago, I posted asking on reccommendations for a replacement speaker for my Fender Pro Junior. That was premature. I'm not entirely sure that the speaker is blown.

I know this:

When I turn the amp on, it sounds normal. When I play at low volumes, which are usually clean, there is a nasty fuzz that accompanies every note. I've tried it with 2 guitars, so it's the amp.

So... diagnosis?

Speaker?

Tubes?

I don't suppose one can buy a new voice coil for a speaker? lol. An entirely new speaker is neccessary?

And, if this is the case, does anyone know how the market value of a PJ with a debunk speaker compares to one with an aftermarket speaker installed?

Thanks again, guys.

Yeah. The voice coil thing was mostly wishful thinking.... ah well. Are Weber's low-end speakers "Signature Series" going to be as good or better than the original?

That's your best bet. Fix that amp up. I wouldn't pay much more than $100 for a PJ with a blown speaker, but for $100, you could have an amp that's better than new. Fix it, play it, then sell it down the road. Whatever speaker you decide to put in there, you can always advertise as an "upgrade."

Who is this mighty ted that I have heard tell of? Someone on the Weber site, or someone on here?

Excuse my ignorance and thanks again for the help.
