Ok so i have a washburn x10 guitar, and use ernie ball regular slinky strings. i break strings at an alarming rate: not just the high ones, all of them. im writing this because my low E just snapped. as far as i can see theres nothing wrong with the metal bits where the string comes from front to back of guitar (sorry dont know name). the strings dont so much snap as come uncoiled at the bridge end of the guitar...i wondered if anyone could give me any advice. i mean, my low e shouldnt break, especially when i was in drop d, should it?

Sounds like your bridge saddles are sharp, just gently take a nail file to them. Or pick up some new ones, Graphtec string savers are pretty great.
