i got about 900$ to invest in a new metal guitar.
i preffer emg active pickups and a very thin neck, with a tremolo.
rig is:
MIM strat (1996) with texas specials
Digitech rp 250
Fender 15G (getting a new amp with the guitar)

i need the neck pickup, doing lead parts on a bridge wouldent sound very good :X

Look at some high quality ESP, most have EMG and are suiter for metal

The price is cheap enough to replace the pickups for EMGs and still have money left over. I have one myself, and I think the pickups it comes with are damn good anyway.

The Edge is not nearly as bad as people say. My Xiphos stays in tune a long time, even with whammy bar use.
