i got the gio pack a while ago and its jsut sitting around its the gio grx40 i think. just wondering if anyone knows what kind of wood its made out of? is it worth modding?

check the ibanez site. Odds are the low end is just basswood, indian cedro, or natowood..plywood if you're really unlucky but i've only seen that in squires and no names

older ones were agathis, newer ones are mahogany
A GRX is alder.
its just a cheap jump start i dont think it is mahogany. alder is a good wood is it not?
Alder is a good wood. I have a 99 model and its made of alder but I think newer ones are mahogney.
i got mine in december and they hae changed a bit because i only got a 10 watt amp my guitar looks the same though so do you think it is still mahogany?then i guess its worth modding?
