alright.....here are a couple of questions...
1. i have a prs se custom and the damn thing wouldnt stay in tune to save its life. so yesterday i dropped some grover locking tuners in it. and it stays in tune for the most part but every now and then it still slips. are they not locked and how do i ensure that they are?

2. its the prs again. its time for new pickups!! the stock ones are good for just about everything but they are still a little too muddy for me. my washburn has a emg 81 and 60 in it and it screams. im kind of leaning away from the emgs for my prs because i know that emgs kinda suck tone out of a guitar. can anyone recomend a decent pickup or two that wont give too much feedback when my stack is turned up??

oh by the way i play in a thrash band.

thanks!

1. Your action may be too low, or maybe you're using crappy strings (Use either Daddario's or Ernie Ball)

2. Seymour Ducan SH6 are amazing, I also play in a thrash metal band, and I use them, they're the best Ive seen.

i use the black beauties. i cant remember who makes them. but i like my action a little on the low side. how much would a low action affect the tuning?

at high volumes how bad does the sh6 feedback and how much does it cost?

A lot of tuning problems go to the nut. Take a lead pencil and rub it in the grooves of the nut. Might clear it up (graphite lubricates the string-slot.) If that turns out to be the problem you might want a new nut or you may be satisfied with repeating this operation while restringing.

grahpite the nut? thats cool! i had no idea about that. thanks man ill try that one. i think the nut is made out of some really dense plastic material or somethin....im not sure. but im gonna try the pencil thing!

Seymour Duncan SH-10 Full Shred, for both bridge and neck. Perfect for everything; high output but clear and defined, with great tone. They sound very similar to PRS high end pickups (HFS and Vintage), but with higher output.
- Fender American Standard Ash Telecaster w/ DiMarzio Chopper T & Twang King
- Alhambra 5P
- Laney Lionheart L5T-112
- Line 6 POD XT
- Suhr Shiba Drive
- MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay
- Dunlop Cry Baby

Can't argue with originality. Imagine a PRS Custom 24 with a Floyd Rose and EMG's. Unique gear ftw!
