do you need a trem? if so, the 24F would be an excellent choice, washburn's non schaller trems are very nice, goof buy,

Anyway, I've been hearing lots of good things about those Washburn X series. My buddy got one but I haven't tried it yet...

i own a X40PRO and X50, and have owned another X40 in the past,

awesome guitars. if you dont mind used, you can pick up an X40PRO for 500 ish, and a X50 for a bit less than that

When I was buying my first guitar, I, initially, went for the Ibanez, but the dude with me recommended the Washburn. I was a bit hesitant, but after playing it, I can say it easily owns most of the guitars out there. The tone, the body, everything. Just throw in some EMGs, and you're set to go.
