yes it would change the sound depending on what type it is, and its a brand of SPEAKERS go figure lol... the cost depends ont eh model and size i guess....

It would change the sound, btu not make your MG sound better, it's not worth it.

I wouldn't recommend putting a high quality speaker into an MG of all things, it just isn't worth it in the long run. It wont sound a great deal different at the end of the day, i would recommend putting that speaker money toward a slightly better amp if you need to change your tone so much.

It would probably sound better if you replace the stock speaker with a higher efficiency speaker. When replacing speakers check the frequency response curve (determines the "voicing") and the ohms. You have to determine whether or not it is worth the money. Mid-priced amps generally see the biggest improvement in sound from a speaker swap.
