ok, so i was lookin through stew macs catelog for strat pots and switches, and i stumbled across a pre made set.

it had 3 pots, a 5 way swtich, wires, and a capacitor....

however, i looked at fenders wiring diagram, and there is no capacitor anywhere....so what is it?

You clearly missed the capacitor on the Fender schematic - I've never seen on without - because tone pots need them to work!

BTW - wrong forum, you'd have got an answer much sooner in the Building and Customizing section.

There is a capacitor. If there wasn't, the tone would probably work like volume...
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000

Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp
