I'm looking for a new guitar and i've looked at as many as I can think of, i have a few in mind but i don't want to rule anything out yet. I play hard rock, heavy metal and prog and i have a limit of £500 ($900-1000). (Stock pups don't need to suit my style as I can change them)

So far I've looked at:
Gibson/Epiphone
Fender/Squier
Ibanez
Jackson
Dean
Framus
ESP
PRS
OLP

Please list any other reliable good quality guitar brands you can think of (not bc rich, hate them, not musicman as that's out of my range)

Thanks

you gotta have one you like to look at so you actually want to pick up and play. and it's easier to look at different designs if you know the names of different brands. for example i went on the bc rich site, liked the mocking bird design, then found the framus streetwalker which i loved. unfortunatly that's too expensive. i only want the names of brands to get a better look at all the designs that are out there. then i'll find a guitar that shape that i like the feel and sound of. i'm not a COMPLETE noob
