Oh FFS, there are like, another few threads on this on the first page of this subforum. Maybe search? I'm getting sick of all these MG threads. *Reported*.

the couple ive played I havnt liked...but ive never owned one...

But MG is the Marshall, as squier is to fender...

it's there cheapest line of amps, made to get the lower beginning muscian without much money a shot at a marshall amp.

They are usually made out of cheaper parts, and constructed in a cheaper manner...

I guess you've never actually put your own ears through the pain of plugging into one then?

Amps Laney VC15, Crate GT212 *FOR SALE*

I got one for my birthday a few years back (fakest "...thanks mum" ever)
It's terrible, turning the knobs makes makes barely any difference to the tone and it's always too muddy or too fizzy. The cleans are flat and lifeless, it's impossible to find a nice tone on one. Basically, MGs are only so cheap because they're what Jim Marshall ****s out on an hourly basis
ohai little sig.

and its solidstate-marshall. which is an oxymoron

its not even a marshall...they bought the MG series from another company called Kay i believe and sell it with their name on it, and the Marshall name makes the amp way more expensive than it should be

why are MG's hated so strongly on this forum?

If you know that they're hated on this forum, you should've also had the opportunity to read why they're hated on this forum, no?

I hate the way they sound and the fact that too many people start threads about them.

BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE YOU NEVER SEARCH THE FORUM!!!!

Amen.

Actually, I've changed my opinion. From now on, I'm going to recommend MG's and Spiders, because of the idiocy of not even looking one page back in the forum for a relevant thread. It'll serve them right.
