I've just recently decided I want to record some bass playing on my computer. I need to know what equipment I need to do that. It's possible to just plug my bass right into the computer with the proper adapter, right? Any tips will help.

could you be a tad more specific? like what do you mean by "interface (best if has a preamp{maudio mobile pre usb})?

The interface is the recording program, right? And what cables do i need? And is there some sort of adapter i need?

Would something like this be enough to plug my bass into my computer

or could you link me to a 1/4 to 1/8 cable?

So let me get this straight. I could record just by buying an interface, plug said bass into said interface and plug said interface into said computer? Is it that easy?
