I am considering trading a dual rectifier with someone from the US

I am a bit confused about step down converters and which one would work safely.

The amp is 100 watt but I heard they aren't very efficient and take in more than they put out?

So I understand it needs to be 120v to 240v transformer, but what voltage would work?

You can buy those standard cables that covert American plugs to English plugs to convert it, the voltage shouldn't matter I don't thing, I got my effects from America with there PSU's and I just use simple coverters.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

^ No, I'm pretty sure that you need to convert the voltage aswell

Unless the transformer has a switch the turn it form 120 to 240 (which I don't think Mesa does), then a step down is needed.

Something that runs on 120v cannot handle 240v
