Hey im installing a new pick up in my guitar and i need to cut the pickguard. what is the easiest way to cut it. i need to do it asap

use a router, but there really is no easy way to cut it, when i cut my pickguard i used a router and sanded it and it looks pretty good

i dont have a router..do u have any other suggestions

a jigsaw will work. also, you can use a soldering iron and melt through the plastic, but that'll make your room smell bad and it wont look great. you could probably use a utility knife, too, but that'll take awhile

I tried doing that so I could install a p-90 on my strat copy. Believe me, it's a job. Good thing I tried routing the pickguard before the body...
