Invincible by Muse. I find the studio version really boring, and didn't want them to play it live, but when they did, it was amazing. In fact, most Muse songs are better live.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

there are several songs that are better live than on a studio album e.g. Knocking on heaven's door from Guns n' Roses because I love the reggae part and the show and so on.
and "Sultans of swing" from the Dire Straits is a lot cooler live.
If you got the money, honey, we got your disease!

Ice 9 by Joe Satriani has always been one of my least favourite Satch tunes ... but when I saw him live it was surprisingly tolerable. Way better live.

All of it.

Beatles - Come Together
to name but a few

Can someone confirm that there actually was a concert after they recorded Come Together in 1969?

I just want to know if this information can be relied on.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools

There was the rooftop concert, but I don't think they played it. I've seen a cover band do it live, and if it was the real Beatles, it would've been better live.
If you could blow up the world with a flick of a switch,
Would you do it?

If you could make everybody poor just so you could be rich,
Would you do it?

With all your power,
What would you do?

Anything by Deep purple - Highway star, Smoke on the water and Child in time for example.

Anything by UFO - Rock bottom, Doctor doctor and Lights out for example.

Anything by the Who - Pinball wizard, Won't get fooled again and Baba O'Riley for example.

Loads more but those are the 3 bands I always think of... phenomenal live.

I agree with that. Live, their sound is amazing. One of the best shows I've ever been to.

With Radiohead, anything from Kid A or Amnesiac is better live, especially "Like Spinning Plates" and "Packt Like Sardines..."

Justseen the Proclaimers at the Wickerman festival and i have to say that with a scottish crowd, everyone oftheir songsare better live. Even tho some of the more complexharmonies are off a little bit, the atmosphere is immense - even lets get married was awesome!
Land of my high endeavor,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart forever,
Scotland the brave

walk - pantera
prayer - disturbed
for those about to rock - ac/dc
that one song by that one guy... you know?
#38
Most hardcore stuff is better live...

And not to forget... RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!
no one can beat those guys live!
#39
Wolfmother really like to jam, so pretty much all of thier songs... as well as Freebird, because when it's played live the solo's always different except for the first two bars, and they usually cut out some verses.
I'm a person.

Angel Of Death of Slayer is on the album also really hot, but nothing compared to it live.
That bass drum thingy at 4:24 (on the cd)... whoa, it's just like getting hit by a wave of angry water!

Forever by As I Lay Dying is also very brutal.

And of course Metallica's Orion, And Justice For All and the incredible bass solo of the Sick Of The Studio tour... ^^
