That list of modes confused the hell out of me.
All my photobucket pics are dead so no links to my guitar build threads.

hm, i might draw one up later...but I need to think about when the push/pull pot is activated. I don't know that it'll work the way you expect.

You see, to have auto coil splits, you can't have the leads connected to other switches. Does that make sense?

yeah, i get what you mean, i've been trying to figure this one out for the past week or so...

Alright, I read it over again and I see what it is you're trying to do.

I don't see how this is possible with a standard switch. Middle positions just put two positions in parallel with eachother... they don't change what those positions were in to begin with.

I could see doing this with more poles on the switch, like a 3 pole. I've actually done exactly what you're wanting to do but on a 2 pickup guitar with a 3 way switch. (4 pole, 3 throw - 4P3T) I use the 3rd pole to activate the coil split. I also put the middle coil split on the opposite side of the push-pull so its activated when the pot is pushed in the middle, but you can turn the split off by pulling it out. In neck and bridge its on when its pulled out, and off when pushed in.

I'm going over in my head if there's a way to split up the coils and still run the humbuckers in series for normal humbucker operation, but I don't see it with a standard 5 way switch.
