Ok so I need some assistance with how to put in LEDs. I'm getting a Crate Blue Voodoo soon and I want to have a line of blue LEDs light up when I turn it on. Now I'm a noob with electronics, and I've just started building pedals, so can anyone tell me if this is feasible at my level? How would I go about doing it?

If you don't wanna mess with your power transformer, just hook them up with a 9V battery and the appropriate resistor.

And get a different amp.

That's what I was thinking. So I'd just wire them in series with the resistor on a piece of perfboard?

Why don't you like the BV?

It's a budget tube amp...there are better out there.

And yeah, in series, and I'd forget the perfboard, myself.

I'm in a gigging band and on a serious budget, and that's exactly why I'm getting it. My previous amp just blew recently.
I've heard its quite good with a retubing and a good EQ. And mine's coming with JJs in it and I have a 31 band rack EQ. Its the 60 watt combo and I'm getting it for $300.
I'd say that would do it.
