Hey guys and girls,

Firstly I would like to say that I'm very glad to join you and become a part of your community. I bought my first guitar, good old Squier Strat Pack, 3 weeks ago and have been doing some steady progress (I know this is weird, a guy asking questions about tabs for an acoustic song with an electric guitar but weirder things have happened I'm sure)

Anyways, back to the point.

I got a bit tired of just learning plain riffs and intros so I've decided to pick up a song that I really like to push me ahead in wanting to learn it + it had to be easy for me to learn being an absolute beginner in music with zero background. So I've figured I'd learn This Year's Love by David Gray as in my opinion it is a wonderful song.

However, there are very few websites that actually provide accurate tabs with clear strumming pattern for this and being a bit of a n00by I am still struggling a bit trying to work out the strumming pattern.

I've been following these chords:

http://www.fretplay.com/tabs/g/gray_david/this_years_love-crd.shtml

Now, here comes the precise question

Intro:
C Cmaj7 D D2 D (3X
G C2 G Em

Now, I am very happy with how I play the first line (Being C, Cmaj7, D, D2, D part) which repeats itself 3 times in the beginning. But I am seriously struggling to work out how to play the G, C2, G, EM part...I've tried different variations but it just really doesn’t sound right to me....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance everyone

Felix
