...because my current amp is a ****ty practice amp that came with my $100 bass, and I can't be heard over the drummer.

I'm thinking about getting a Marshall or a Randall combo bass amp. It needs to be in the $300-$400 price range, and I'd like it if it had a decent output (my current amp just has a headphone jack which doesn't provide enough of a signal for me to just plug into the sound system at the house we practice at). I'm into metal, which is why I was thinking Marshall or Randall, but I'm not gonna go on brandname alone. I'm a n00b player, and I've only been playing for a few months, but I practice alot, which is what I think justifies this purchace. Any suggestions?
