I'm not sure where to put this so will any drummer's help me out? As far as sizes of drums go, how do they affect the sound? Like width of the head to length of the shell. I know tightness of the head affects it but what does the width change and what does the length change?
Thanks

the bigger the drum the deeper the sound.

I think but dont quote my, the wider the drum the lower the sound, and the longer the drum is kinda like sustain, resonance and warmth of the drum. I'm not to sure what length does, but thats what I assume, also coincides with the width to create lower notes.
