I just got my results back from the Music Theory AP test, I got a 3. I didn't take a class, i just studied using some music books that I bought. This next year I'm going to take a class and try to get a higher grade, does anybody have any idea of what I should study? Suggestions of books, and the such?

you paid the $82 to take the test when you just bought some books yourself?

i wouldn't know what books, but i'm taking the class this coming school year. hopefully the class isn't too hard. how was the test? was it really hard or what?

i'd recommend the Berkley music theory series, they're very good books.

My school payed for most of the test, it was only 20 dollars for me. And I did get a passing grade, good enough for the college that I'm going to just not good enough for me. The test was slightly more difficult than I expected, then again I had very little idea as to what to expect.

I have the Berklee Harmony books, are there any more that I should get?
